Biography |
| Born in Toronto, Canada, Scott Turnbull's recent paintings use narrative as their subject matter and explore the ways in which even highly-charged or loaded imagery can be "muffled", or "muted" through the use of colour and/or decorative/abstract elements. Influenced by the strong, often abstract compositions of islamic and oriental prints, as well as narrative icons such as Hieronymus Bosch.
