Biography |
| Jennifer Kim enjoys creating abstract expressionist portrayals of her emotional states. Very simply, she aims to regenerate emotion, from her own experiences to the various transformations it undergoes through the viewer. Lots of time on her porch looking at clouds, aimless walks through the constant Portland rain, and shifting light through trees are her most reliable contexts for the beginning points in her process. She primarily uses charcoal, conte, and oil pastels. Poetry and revising her dissertation into a nonfiction book are her two other main preoccupations.
