Biography
Emily Valenza is a recent graduate of Penn State University, with a BS in Art Education and minor in East Asian Studies. She is currently teaching Art at a private institution and plans to pursue her MFA in drawing and painting. Valenza's work is mainly figurative, with enclosed spaces. Entomology plays a large part in the stories told through her work, as insect behavior mirrors human behavior to create unexpected metaphors.
