The basis for all of my creative work is my longtime interest in, and passion for subjects from popular culture. The conflict between the fiction of popular culture and reality is what fascinates me. The Wild West, military history, car-culture, and 1950s design, are all fuel for my studio research. The work contains history, nostalgia, humor, and irony. Even if some subjects are serious, I prefer to depict them with humor and irreverence. I raise questions that I want to expose, hoping for a reaction, but not in pursuit for a specific answer.
