Lynne Hurd Bryant

Lynne Hurd Bryant is an artist in love with the colors of the natural world. She paints landscapes, still life work and most importantly, elegant, richly colored florals. She works in oils, acrylics and watercolors, and is equally adept with all of them. This is unusual for many artists who use only one or two types of media, but Lynne chooses her medium based on the demands of the subject matter.
Lynne grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and was taught to paint from an early age by her grandmother, the artist Ada Hurd Bryant. She moved to Denver and continued her art education at Loretto Heights University Without Walls, which allowed her to choose working artists in the community as her instructors. She went on to earn a B.F.A. in Design and Fine Arts. After taking many years away from her art to raise a large family, she went back to her artwork in early 2009. She currently resides in Wyoming. With the incredible scenery, including a view of Laramie Peak, she finds plenty of subjects for her work.
Today, Lynne would be best described as an emerging artist. She shows her work at several informal venues in Wyoming. Her work is also in several private collections and is available online through her website.
