The History of Printpop! - How It All Started...
In late 2001, Devin Walker concieved an idea for an Internet company like no other in existence.
One crisp autumn day, an old friend called Walker and described a painting she had seen years earlier that he had done, and asked if he could take a picture of it and mail it to her.
Walker E-mailed her the digital picture, but wished he could send her a life-sized copy of his work. Scouring the Internet, Walker thought someone had to already be doing this.
Yes, there were hundreds of sites where you could buy "Starry Night" or "Sunflowers" or Andy Warhal's "Soup Cans," and there were hundreds more where professional artists were
selling their original artwork, but nowhere could one buy high quality digital posters of unknown, undiscovered, hobbist, part-time, or student artists. Until now...
